The menu is a harmonious blend of hearty mains and well-executed vegetable sides. A group of 7 of us came with a reservation and I’d definitely recommend making one if you plan to try this place. I was shocked by the long queue when we arrived around 6pm. People were already lining up for early dinner. We ordered 7 small-sized dishes, and although the staff mentioned that small portions are only enough for 2–3 pax, they turned out to be more than enough for the 7 of us. We were very full and couldn’t even finish some of the dishes. The taste was absolutely satisfying, and for a "zhu char" place, it was incredibly economical, only about RM180 for everything! However, due to the crowd, this place is more suitable for a quick meal rather than a relaxing family or friends gathering. The atmosphere can be a bit tense as people are eyeing your table, and staff frequently come by to check on orders.

Good enough that everyone finished everything, although lala soup too spicy and still one can taste the water in the lala. Crispy pork belly with special sauce was seasoned just right, though some bits were brittle rather than crispy. Four heavenly kings also done right, although ratio of petai and brinjal to the other greens could have been more balanced. Pumpkin tofu was very soft. Yam basket fine. Signature rib tender. RM 170 for 5 ppl having 6 dishes (tofu, vegetable, signature rib, pork belly, yam basket with sweet and sour pork, lala soup) and 4 rice. Good portions. Would revisit to try other dishes since these were generally good. Food served fast.

[holiao] 1) Overall - Chinese stir fry restaurant, crowded and do need to wait/queue during peak times, reservations are recommended, ok environment and cleanliness, average portion and food quality, food and drink selection are steam fish, pork ribs, vege dishes and more from New Hao Yue Lou Seafood Restaurant 2) claypot steamed fish - Delicately steamed to retain the fish’s natural sweetness, served bubbling hot in a claypot that kept the flavors locked in. The soy-based sauce was aromatic and well-balanced, enhancing the freshness of the fish. A comforting and wholesome dish, perfect with rice. 3) other dishes - flavourful and good portion size. quality good.

Excellent Was recommended by a friend to this restaurant and I'm happy to say that it was an excellent choice. The Pak Sok Kung (RM80/kg) was perfectly steamed. The fish was fresh, succulent, and flavoursome. The pork ribs did not disappoint as the meat was tender, sweet, and cooked with perfection. Their signature Claypot Kangkong was also delicious, cooked in aromatic sambal, and paired with crispy pork lard. 0verall we were very satisfied with the dishes we ordered and were already planning our next trip here. Kipidap My 3rd visit here and the Pak Sok Kung was excellent again. The soy sauce mix was sweet, savoury and flavoursome. Complimented the fish excellently. The Choy Lan Chicken was also delicious with enough ginger condiments to go with it. Will definitely be coming back here again.

This is one of our family regular Restaurants. The food was always delicious. Especially the Patin Fish and the Salted Egg Squid. The staff were polite, attentive, and quick to refill our drinks. They made us feel very welcome. Price was fair… overall, highly recommended for everyone who enjoy good food.

The dishes tasted really good but the price slightly on the high side maybe due to the dishes we ordered. Total 3 dishes at RM106 for 2 persons. The fried Talipa was really crispy and tasted great. The pork ribs a bit too sweet to my tastes bud and the Mapo Tofu had a slight mala undertone (not too much just enough)
